Updated MMA Best Practices document

The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) released version 3.4 of its Consumer Best Practices (CBP) Guidelines for Cross-Carrier Mobile Content Services in the U.S. The CBP is updated twice annually and in conjunction with the specific mobile carrier playbooks are the standard for mobile content services.
Updates include:
- Clarification of Terms & Conditions specifically for Web Print/Video
- Clarification of each carrier’s “Standard Rates May Apply” language
- Removing triple opt-in from premium IVR program
- Clarification on Alcohol & Tobacco marketing guidelines
- Adding new section providing update on MMS interoperability

Multi-color typography
I suppose this is an odd way to lead off a blog ostensibly on text messaging, but we did have mildly relevant posts before I burned them in a Wordpress upgrade.
Onwards: a friend challenged me on my apparent loathing of all things variegated. I brushed it off, but it gnawed at me and I realized I’m not sufficiently open-minded when it comes to type. Not everything can be black, white and Helvetica.
I’m afraid that I don’t have the sources for these images, so if you spot them, please do leave a comment here or on Flickr. Alternatively, if you see a reason to pull them down, please do the same.
